it was funny, in season 1 they had to cook a whole salmon and one pair got in trouble because it wasn't cooked through and Gary said he wasn't going to eat raw salmon. I looked at my husband and said that you do that in Japanese cuisine all the time.

His dish looks pretty hopefully the broth has finished cooking it
under over as we have seen from day one.. do the judges like you....is how they The only one that’s nailed it so far is Laura

I would think under is better than over except in chicken ... I think, but not sure
Looks like Khanhs fish is perfect.

Khanh fish looks right and is safe licking the bowl ... must be good

3 teams of 4, a main and a dessert must be cooked.
80 minutes in total.
45 seconds handover.
Simon Sarah Reynold first cook Emilia Tessa and Poh are cooking second the 3rd and 4th row don't know whose team they are on.
reynald red simon green and sarah navy race to get the equipment they want... and bloody hells social distancing........

Emilia is with Reynold for Red. Sarah and Tessa are Blue and Simon is Green.
Simon is doing octopus and a blue rigolette. (a type of pie)

Reynold is doing trout and pannacotta.
Gloves in the pantry but not at work stations?

Sarah is doing lamb cutlets and roasted vegies and setting the team up for passionfruit icecream and letting the team decide the rest of the dessert.

Andy is asking how Simon is going to communicate everything he is planning. hopefully the way I communicated it to you he answers

Reynolds pannacotta is in the fridge. now fillets the coral trout

Sarah's icecream is ready to get in the churner but she is concerned how behind she is. They only have 2 minutes to go.
Andy lets them pull from sack Poh is blue. Emilia is red and Tessa is Green. They select aprons as they are about to go out

Poh is flustered already even though sarah's instructions were clear. oh dear poh in waffle mode... and she agrees the instructions are clear but nothing was started except t he dessert so poh goes on with the dessert and then she cuts herself........

yesterday was elbow bumps so I wonder if they are even going to do that, as Jock kept saying no touching. and she has cut herself. flither flather and she starts frenching the lamb


Reynold is very happy with Tessa...she got all he said and just keeps going.. gets the spuds in the microwave to make it quick.. rey keeps saying oh good, noice one Tess... she adds leeks


here goes Emilia. Apparently Simon did explain fully and she was happy with what he has done and she isn't changing things. she makes s ome ice cream for the desset to make it a lil more complete. she is happy with the gillette she tells Jock.. just gotta roll it out

The other two teams look quite under control but team blue need the miracle that Jess could bring.
It will be rubber band cooking this early

but... alas Khanh isn't sure what he is doing. he thought he got it but He is now stuffing up all Emilia's & Simon's good work. Andy comes to ask him how he is going.... he decides to do the octopus .. way too soon..... Emelia is freaking.. it will b e so dry Simon agrees

The pannacotta isn't set. Hopefully it will in the last 15 minutes. he cant do anew one.. hoping it will set in time.. oh no the fish is on fire on the hibachi,... he uses the pan instead.....

Callum is worried about the parsnip puree which has an odd consistency. no wonder since Poh burned it... he still has a few things to do he tells the judges.... he sees lots of great elements that he may be able to work into two good dishes

brendan changing to prawns. Hallelujah! will go well with the salad and prawn are quick to cook.. into the fry pan....

The panacotta looks nice. Reece is plating up. both dishes seem good

Brendan has fixed that dish very well by the looks.

i heard it but didn't see as I was laughing to much at the awkward non-hug.

each judge at the table separately and they are totally apart when talking.

As far as team challenges go this one was perfect as no one really needed to be too close to each other.
Andy liked the lamb..
Good pub dish, says jock both andy and jock love the desert but the savoury could be better vegies overcooked.... they both really loved the dessert.

Red team. Trout, Potato puree and leeks. Panacotta, strawberry granita and almond crumble.
Panacotta didn't set. oh dear....... panacotta looks more like custard than panacotta..

so how is the main? Andy liked his but it lacked finessa... can taste the burned oil. jock plays with the custard
Andy is disappointed with both dishes. Jock likes the main though a little more.. the flavours were good. he calls the dessert a bit of a snooze fest.......
sad really cos they all seemed to do well


so in comes the green.. how the cook changed says Jock. was this what you had in mind... dessert yes the other probably not... Blueberry Galette and the new prawn dish for Green team.
Jock said the salad was delicious but the prawns also deleicious are over cooked,( how on earth could they be overcooked in such a short time) both together are great, and he loved the dessert. the pastry is amazing....…Andy also loves the savoury especially the salad..and dessert.

Blue's main was overcooked.... so no
and Brendan saved the day with the main and Simon made a great desert.
Looks like only the green team turn up tomorrow and the others don't even come to watch. Interesting.

The others are watching but very spaced in the gantry. Not a worried face in the house.
Each of the 4 at their own butchers block. Khanh talking about his prep over night....face mask and bed a t 10 pm
Kirsten tibballs is the guest chef, the queen of chocolate, best pastry chefs in Australia.
She says she sees many familiar faces and she has probably traumatised a few.

Todays dish is extremely hard according to kirsten. It looks just like a watermelon
gorgeous looking dish that looks like a watermelon with t he top cut off and a straw

Too many elements too mention, but it is a beautiful dessert.
Emilia probably has an advantage
chocolate straws, striped chocolate spheres. Vodka jelly's OMG! white choc sphere with raspberry mint and lime madelaine marinated watermelon... goodness it does look nice except for the white choc.....

Brendan looks like he is about to shit bricks.

Emilia says it is about 10kg of white chocolate. 3 hours is not a lot of time she is gonna motor on so she starts on the chantilly cos it takes a good while to set and into the chiller now working on watermelon jelly
Lots of focus on Emilia so far.

emilia does the microwave tempering half melted mixed and then into some machine

brendan is much more nervous... as he tries the tempering. his looks more like mac and cheese right now.. he has another go.. reece says just keep stirring it

Judges talk to Brendan he is worried about tempering the choc. His chocolate doesn't look as good as Emilias and he feels out of his depth.
Starting to look a bit better


Simons chocolate is looking good. He is powering away with his stirring. His chocolate looks nice and glossy.
Back to Emilia, she is powering along happily everything looks lovely

Jock and Kirsten now talking to Emilia. She would be the favourite of course as she is the dessert queen... ha ha she owns a dessert business Kirsten looks on in approval

Khanh has his madeleines in the oven and his chocolate tempered.

Simon doing his moulds, Brendan is definitely behind the others as he is still on his second bowl of chocolate and hasn't made his madelienes yet. but this bowl is so much better than the first
jess says onto the madelaines boom boom boom.... Jock says you are behind.. are you going t o be all right.. watch your time cos it will whizz by

1 hour 10 down.

Making the straw looks fascinating. puts the yellow stripes down and then puts the white chocolate over the top.
emelia onto the choc straw.... looks wonderful yellow stripes are great then she adds white choc thinly so stripes can be seen. Kirsten watches keenly. and applauds as Emelia makes the straws she praises her, I am so proud of you. Simon does his... it seems a lot more delicate.. Simon's straw looks brilliant.

1 hour 15 to go.

Khanh just checking on his white chocolate spheres as he has never done them before and doesn't want to leave them until the last minute. One is out can he do another easily.. Kirsten encourages him do the others they are super thick which is good
He got all out nicely. Kirsten says do your straws.

Brendons choc looks thick But he did it well...really pleased Kirsten praises him.
Brendan isn't too far behind now if he is up to the straw.
