as usual sashi goes straight to the finals challenge.. crap that pisses me off.. hey I have nothing against him.. but it is so obvious!

so now what.. alongs comes Shannon.. Shannon is only ever there for immunity pin challenges.........today is different. the winner of this challenge will have their dish at his restaurant.. I want a story on the plate.... create it and execute it open pantry and garden. all dishes will be tasted

three least impressive will go to pressure test tomorrow
Shannon says the dish w ill be incorporated into at least a 12 course degustation menu so watch the portion size

Khanh goes looking for pine mushrooms.. apparently they grow on pine trees after the rain... duck is involved and chestnuts

jess has overcooked the c rab and now starts sobbin... god it looks bloody awful... gutzy to the rescue.... if you tried, you can do no more..

so Reece his duck..looks good they all agree..... and it is a wonderful dish they say

Khanh....looks like a pak a poo tickets to me...they think it looks wonderful... it does look tasty,, apparently it is supposed to look like what you would find under a tree.... forest floor... they just love the damn flavour.........
Chloe......it looks nice enough,, I love mushrooms too...she plays her super power. she doesnt want to risk the pressure test... the power is gone

Jess is up first

they are impressed with her recreation of the dish..and they like the taste too

Samira//// unset pannacotta... it doesnt look much like the dish... but the chef praises her.. it was a really tough challenge.. but anyway they taste it,,it just isnt cutting it

now Ben 2 elements are wrong,, he made a change to the dish to ensure the richness was there... chef agreed it is diffeent but we needed the richness... well thought out.... when they uncover the cloche the dish stands up well

they taste it and gutzy said he has the fragrance of mandarin and the dish is not too sweet.

Alas Samira gets the boot

as they arrive everyone is outside waiting Sashi and Thanh are up for a pathway straight to the finals
winner of round one faces off against a pro and if they win straight to finals
today apart f rom a handful of staples they are limited to the garden

khanh sees the citrus and gets ideas but he also sees rosella flowes.. he loves them... hmmmm lemon sorbet coloured with rosella perhaps.....mm =

sashi is thinking roast vegies and purees

the try sashis dish and he stuffed up on the roti his dish looked nice'

now clearly they favour thanh's dish.. they have commented on it all through the cook...they love it khanh goes to fight the chef who is Reynold

Matt is talking sausages and octopus and a lot of Asian type flavours.. Sashi asks like a lakhsa no more like red curry

Khanh stuffing chinese cabbage w ith mushrooms and a pile of other stuff I cannot possibly keep up with Shannon advises against it.. he doesnt like the dim sum gone wrong possibility
