doesn't surprise me in the least
Re: General Chit Chat
Having spent 20 years working in TV I can tell you that the producers will do anything for ratings. Even getting a participant to complain in the media about his treatment. We have to take everything, what we see and hear on TV, and what we read in the press with a grain of salt. If the story is completely true there are significant repercussions for channel 7.Traveler wrote: ↑Wed Mar 29, 2017 9:47 amThe plot thickens...

Reminds me of the scandal that affected the game shows here in the US. US Federal laws have been changed. If true regarding MKR, this might be the last season for the show.

I'm taking most of his rambling with a pinch of salt. That's what I thought too Broadman, that 7 would be in serious trouble. Even if Josh was told to say thanks slut, had he had an ounce of scruples he would have refused. Then he could have threatened to walk off and spill the beans. I find it odd that he has been interviewed about it before it's actually gone to air. He didn't comment on it which leaves me wondering if it's just another storm in the proverbial teacup. For all we know, he could have been taking the mickie out of Manu's accent and been saying "thanks a lot"Broadman wrote: ↑Wed Mar 29, 2017 3:18 pmHaving spent 20 years working in TV I can tell you that the producers will do anything for ratings. Well, that was an anticlimax. Hooha was nothing. I heard "Thanks lot", and I've recently had my hearing tested.
Two tweets appeared just prior to the judges commenting on the dessert. One said "Josh scored them 4" the other said "the strange desserts turned out ok". How could these tweets appear here if the tweet conversation is live? The tweets were repeated after the scoring.
The editing for the promo is all over the shop. Each comment made shows the participants in different clothing, so obviously most of what we see and here is contrived to bring the viewer back for the drama.
For me it is solely entertainment. Don't think I'll be watching after the dinner parties.
