we are at the MCG today cooking for the melbourne demons an AFL footy team and their wives

they line up and gutz divides them down the middle blue and red
Dees capn advises tasty protein

tim is the red teams capn and sashi is the blue team capn
Time wins the toss an he picks meat Sashi gets fish

2 canapes one main one dessert for 100 people in 3 hours
delicious and nutritious
losing team goes into elim

chloes has an idea for the main a soba noodle salad sous vide salmon
canapes are in a mess....

sashi says I must t ake control and sort it out
Genen suggest a canape prawns and rice crackers...need a sauce he suggest tamarind combo of spices and tamarind paste/// not too sure if it goes together

vegetarian filo pastry jap tart shitake mushrom and tofu

omg look at that scotch fillet.... mmmmmmm red team canape
and they are doing some sort of wrap gary approves when he sees how easy it is to eat

red dessert oh disgusting mangos and pannas an a pile of other stuff that is too tiresome to type!!!
blue oh gross another one of those white choc mousse cheese cake and a pile of slimy sort of fruit

youck both fail on desserts for mine... I ask you what is wrong with a nice choc cake an cream??

oh look at that salmon..... yumski but noodles gross not a nice meal to my mind and i actually love noodles

gutzes discuss menus and processes.. happy with red and worried for blue sashi is worried...we need another plan....forget the sous vide and go to oven instead

now disaster strikes for the red team...there is a big piece of fat in the middle..gary says never seen anything like it guz how would you eat that

so what to do? have to change dish cube it instead and dress it as normal hope it works
the usual last min rush ensues

gutzes get the rice paper prawns first blue team and the mushroom tart with mushies
she thought it was bland Gary agrees she is nathan's partner
the prawns .. a better reaction

right now they get the red teams food

when the gutzes eat it they are disappointed.. two sorts of pickles righting with each other... look great a shame

now the mains red team is very keen tp plate beautifully the lamb with some sort of beany salad

blue team have overcooked the salmon... gutzy says it will be cactus when it goes out a disaster
okay they will choose the best bits and flake them...not sure if it will work

red teams looks nice beautifully cooked lamb rack
it goes to judges and they love the whole thing Nathan says it will be a hit.
they eat everyone is so happy... tasty and perfectly cooked

salmon is plated noodles and vegies are mixed and plating starts salmon on top...
they might get away with it..

what do judges think?
looks a bit paltry compared to red teams to me they say it looks okay
gary likes the taste, thins flaking was a better option she loves the whole thing
gaz went from zero to hero
