ah it is good to have you back... I just eat food, you know how to cook it... while there is such a thing as fruit, blue steak and peanut butter I wont starve!!!

steak and chips with bearnaise sauce.... now I can cook that
get out t he ingredients
make a reduction for the bearnaise pan on the heat..... white wine vinegar one cup and half a cup white wine and one shallot 1/4 bunch of tarragon through it into the reduction... bring to boil let it reduce for 15 mins
now pickling juice mandy having a heart attack
he gives the measurements.... tim puts the sugar in the reduction instead of the pickling liquid.. um even Misty knows that is w rong
omg a beautiful piece of grass fed porterhouse... oh I can taste it
remove the sinew he says fat is fine sinew is not/ Find the chain down the side and remove it.....
flip it over and remove the fibrous sinew Jo and Tim no so good at it..... omg Tim has cut off so much of the fat... no!!!! that is the best part,

my god he makes it looks easy... all perfectly similar..... hub does it but uses a tape measure.. my hub is a typical Virgo!!!

Curtis has 13 steaks and only the tiniest bit of waste which I would fry up

Most are with Curtis except for Jo Curtis wants it medium rare.. blue .. the steak is perfect why burn it??

Jo says if it is overreduced... add still water
then take cloth and get ready to strain''
put two egg yolkss in bowl.... add some reduction and whisk then over boiling water.. keep whisking...have a gentle roll, do not scramble your eggs...never stop whisking.........

Tim is up first they all note the stuff up with the bearnaise cos of the sugar.. Curtis can forgive it... Gaz chips and steak are lovely
gutzy loves chips so does cravat..... but the bearnaise is wrong
Dee steak is wonderful but forgot mustard. Gaz says bearnaise is fatty not enough tarragon it looks great,
Jo beef looks undercooked but the rest looks lovely... beautiful presentation. chips are a hit that steak looks great.. it is not undercooked... broccolini lovely Cravat not that keen on chips

for mine it wuld be Jo cos he cooked the steak the closest to the way I like it.. but the brief was Medium rare...
Tim wins........... even with t he fucked up Bearnaise.. I think Mandy should have got it. her Bearnaise was perfect.....

oh no Anusshka is panicing over t he caramel... is it overset... she tries to fix it .. it looks messy
now the first dish is Stephs She made fried chicken with tamarind and fish sauce caramel and pickled sprouts..... looks nice enough there is licking of fingers.....
Tessa She made fried chicken with tamarind and fish sauce caramel and pickled sprouts..it looks very pretty,,,they pick on th eplating but I love it...they enjoy eating it though
Tim Panfried spatchcock with roasted sprouts and crispy chicken skin and mango puree they love the plating I think it looks dreadful.... he took the skin off Gutsy says a waste
Anushka Mango sorbet with tamarind and fish sauce caramel, lemon cream and tamarind crumb well it does nothing for me... but they love it and ate the lot
