This is the part of Masterchef I detest. Too many struggled with ingredients they weren’t familiar with last night. Poor Dee, such a good cook of Sri Lankan cuisine. What a shame she didn’t stick to her culture with that stupid combination of food.

cravat offers help like mayonaise but she is not into it.. she is doing me as she says

klye is doing a sticky caramel sauce on the side.. interesting.. he just got his some of his stuff in the fryer gantry is worried

Abbey is next Crispy battered chook with a wite peach chutney. Chicken is great.. cravat not into the dipping sauce. Poh agrees gary loves the chook though

Kyle is next... where i s allte cook they wail sweet and salty chook coated in sugar... sauce murky says Poh Cravat says the crumbing and coating are ot quite there

Derek Korean fried chook wings......Poh is delicate Gary crunches and the whole gantry hears it.. george wants more Poh loves it... so

clearly derek and tessa are neck and neck and they cant decide.. so they are both gonna go against the chef
anyone who beats the chef gets a pin

so the uest chef is max Sharrod.. ( sp),,,he is pretty hot and married to one of the season 6 contestents

Tessa and Derek 75 mins Max 60 blind tasting Max is sent to storeroom now they have to pick an element to hero they pick an orange for the three of them

Tessa thinks pork belly fennell tessa is sauteeing orange into her sauce, veggies and having orange on the plate too
Derek dark chocolate and orange mousse with an orange curd

so out comes max who is a bit thrown by the orange not something he usually uses. he goes for king fish it wont dominate the orange doing a ceviche of kingfish with orange dish seawood oil hazelnuts..poh tries to freak him out by saying a cold dish isnt that a cop out.... he defends it and says cooked orange will overpower it
she gets to derek wont t he dark choc overpower the orange ..he gives in and switches to white choc.. dumb move

Poh keeps firing up max the others are cooking.. he checks it out.. are there more oranges he asks Derek.. not sure if he was joking... the gantry tell Max he should be worried too...bad bad people

anyway they are plating now and they all loook good. max has sauce on side so it doent stuff up the fish

gary it pops off the plate the crackling is so good it is all so good gutsy balanced and delicious.... Cravat says we might have to change the rules it is so good..

Derek next they dont like the presentation.. I do....
gary said it is too bouncy whatever t hat means.... the crumb is a bit dry
gutsy a lot of effort for minimal result

Max it looks pretty....very s imple dish very good flavours
