tim.... he is the f ave but I want Jess.... the judges are very impressed with the presentation he cooked it rare..it does look good... they love it

Abbey shitake mushrooms... mmmmmm today you must use three of these ingredients and put them into a nice dish 60 mins only best dish

now there is only 60 mins..... Abbey dont split the custard
e Ben changes from oyster blade.. he uses it as a sort of flavour adder and switches to another steak

Simon is very techy tell you when the dish is finished lol but it invloves salt encrusted beets
mmmm steak tartare yum ( Tessa)

Tessa and Simon seem more clinically technical but Abbey is hanging in there... she cooks with more feeling....but custard............ hmmmm risky

judges love the sound of Simons dish..... tessa's dish gets a good discussion on the different ways as long as it is sweet

ben stands his ground
Abbey is behind

Simn checks his salt encrusted beets
ben has reduced the oyster blade down to fat for his oh something lol

Tessa seems calm and talks to Matt and cravat calmly cravat says maye a creamy yolk

time to plate
Simon has to take it out.. seems good... but overly salty...how to balance

Abbey it is too hot separating and not staying in one solid scoop

Ben is up he lies the look of the steak,, cloer up it looks much nicer.... gutses eat.. what do they think......gary said wate of time cooking in beef fat.. but nice cravat loves all the flavours

Abbey next baked savoury custard... looks awful to me... they eat and we hear eggy... gary s aid why did you put the custard in.. spoiled it the rest was delicious.... cravat said if the custard is rubbish it doesnt go on the plate.

Simon Saltbaked beets shitake and peas... matt thiks it look stunning.. good vegetarian food... they eat... gutzy likes it but beets too salty and mushies too sweet.... if you hadn't cut it up it would have been delicious

Tessa... mmmm they eat and appear to enjoy it tastes as good as it looks.. the crispy garlic makes it says Gary Cravat says the flowers are lovely Matt such a refreshing dish to eat

Jessie McTavish from Bondi Beach Fish they hero the fish, the way it was done as kids.. from the sea to the plate

two pairings to choose... Tessa chooses he has to wait ...blind tasting..
she has 5 mins he gets 60 so Tessa picks it is from salt and vinegar and cheese and onion.... she picks cheese and onions

she thinks pastry savoury w ith cheese and nuts through it caramelised onions I am not sure if she has the time

he finds out it is cheese and onions.. oh dear he wanted salt and vinegar
so Jesse is off..he looks at t he pantry... I dont do old school much... just capture the flavour pairing. he rules out seafood.. oh I was thinking a mornay...... he goes for Aussie onion soup with cheese for croutons and i hear salt bush....

40 mins to go

tessa is whining about all the work rolling out the pastry

he goes for veal bones too and gets salt bush and nastursiums from the garden

mmm Jesses looks great...

the pastry is not done back it goes and turns it up even higher...she gets it right

he is rushing too.....mmm love that camembert jesse says it tastes like onions which is good 30 secs to go.... oh I want to eat his and I dont even like onion soup big chunks of melted camembert on toast

so he is up first.. mmm it looks fabuous... judges snark a bit...gutzy ikes the modern twist gary said nice colour Gary loves chamions cheese and onions but it s not slowcooked.... Cravat likes it Gutzy agrees with Gary

they all gett excited when they see tessas dish i dont see it myself.. gutzy cuts it up and they eat... very tasty says gary special says cravat I like this says gutzy... oh dear they clearly prefer this one....

she gets three nines from judging
he ony gets 22 I think that is appalling

so here we are in the mountains somewhere and Maggie is on and all I know so far is that t hey are making picnic baskets

oh it is Hanging Rock... oh no of course picnic at Hanging Rock

Sandeep has hurt his back and cannot compete which means he joins the losing team and will compete in tomorrows elim

and here is Maggie....woo hoo. what about a brioche with a sausage in the middle olives spiced nuts and a lovely desser they pull out colours from maggies sack red and green Derek is cpn of the green team and Nushie for the red

each team 100 guests serve in apicnic basket enough for four sandwiches a salad a dip savoury.... 3 hours to do mggie said flavour flavour flavour

Derek is supervisor... I hear quiche mascarpone

Red abbey hummous larissa lavoche simon sandwiches tati frittata chris cake Nush walnut and fig salad
