Nushie and derek are up next
they lift the lids
Anushkas shards are so much bigger than Dereks but otherwise they appear pretty close in appearance
How will they taste? apparenty they are quite different.. will this mean elimination? teills sorbets and mousses are differen
Tati and Tessa now...they look so different to me
tatis short bread is a lot smaller as it broke
sugars are very different
tessa is really caramelly and tatis is barely melted
the dishes both look and taste different... tatis is stewed which is off putting and the biscuits are different too
Chritine and Nicole are up now this is looking much better.. it looks the same and it tastes the same gutzy says he feels like he is eating one dish he does note one has more apple... gutz!
now simon and sandeep.. big commuication problems communicated in weights not volume... or handfuls
let's look at them actuall they are quite close cravat nit picks tis one has no nuts the fruit is more spread out gutzy says only the berried are the same they dont eat it and tell us

All of Dereks preparation just went out the window

He is trying to turn honey into honeycomb by boiling the honey.. that ain't the way
Tati is making sticky rice balls with coconut ice cream and uses Honey, coconut and yoghurt ice cream interesting she is frying her pineapple
Sandeep is doing a rice pudding - I love fluffy boiled rice.. but rice pudding blah gluggy stuff
Christina telling Matt ideas she would do for this challenge

oh h aha Nushie has covered herself in flour! but is happy with flavour
Tati's rice ball filling is ready. She is making the balls now and then Wraps them in banana leaves and steams them. She is using a pineapple boat for plating
Sandeeps dish has thickened but doesnt have enough flavour
Dereks granola is roasted and he adds honey And back into the oven
Cooking his bananas now
Simons figs are done- Honeycomb hasnt worked. It is chewy
Noone knows where Simon is going - including simon

Sandeep is aware of how strong saffron can be.. he tries not to overpower the rice

sandeep is next... cravat said Not a big leap making rice pudding with honey instead of sugar
Sandeep is scared to do something out of his comfort zone. He fears making a fool of himself. Rice is cooked well.
But not sweet enough and is overpowered by the saffron

Beef mince, salmon, corriander, soda water, strawberries, tomatoes, onion powder, coconut cream
Tessa is doing confit salmon with a coconut sauce
Nicole is doing a thai salmon
Derek is using the salmon too
Salmon is the most popular item so far
Anushka is making confit salmon too
Lots of confit going on
Larissa is doing pancakes with a corriander and coconut ice cream
Ben is doing tortellini using the tomatoes
Tati is doing corriander noodles

Invention test must feature either Milo, Vegemite or Rosellas Tomato Sauce
Only Tati says she doesnt like vegemite...not a great fan myself!
She doesnt like Milo either
Not a fan of milo either and I prefer bbq over tomato sauce ....but as a kid I used to smear tomato sauce on my peanut butter basic sate - not that I knew what sate was
Judges are just eating the milo out of the tin

Matt says it is a dangerous and brave idea. He does love the idea

Judges love the flavours... they just work so well together.. and the plating is lovely
Last up is Derek
judges are curious to see if they taste better than the custard tarts but derek has only 2 donuts for three greedy judges
They feel light..but.look a little dense.
The milo element is beautiful but not enough filling.. not bad.. but this doesnt deter the others from pinching bits of doughnuts
